Day 26

Cross Keys United Methodist Church

www.crosskeyschurch.org

Scripture:

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Reflection:

A couple weeks ago I was in Royersford, PA. to pick up some trains that I had purchased at an online auction. After picking up my trains, I stopped at a deli for lunch. After placing my order, I glanced at a plaque on the wall that contained the Bible verse Joshua 1:9.

As I read this verse, I was reminded that God is always with us wherever we go and that we should not be afraid to venture out from familiar places to explore new things or destinations. As I traveled home, I reflected on God’s love for me and for feeding me spiritually when I was just looking for food to satisfy my hunger. A Bible verse is better than a fortune cookie any day!

Reflection Written by Larry Hardwick

Prayer:

Dear Lord, Thank you for your constant presence, as Joshua 1:9 reminds us. Help us to be courageous, knowing you are with us wherever we go. May we find strength in your love and guidance each day.

In Jesus's name, we pray, Amen.

Please take a moment to consider what God is speaking to you through the scripture passage and the devotional reflection.

Then, take some time for prayer—pray for your own soul, and lift up

ourselves to hear Jesus’ healing words and to be immersed in His peace.

You can also listen to the music provided below as a backdrop

for your time of prayer.
